LEARNIG SPANISH
LEARNING SOME SPANISH (OR A LOT)
This
is not about learning Spanish in Sevilla specially, but about free
resources on the Web mainly. Sevilla is not a bad town to learn the
native language as people are (they say friendly...) talkative with
foreigners, and they usually do not speak any language apart from
Spanish, so you will have to make the effort, like it or not. Lots of
young people come here just for the fun and the fair, and the
language learning is just an excuse, which is not a bad one, by the
way. Be careful if you decide to pay a so called "academy"
or school language as many of them are just
makeshift-casetas-de-feria, and do not come in the summer. I already
have some pages dedicated to free resourses to learn languages (mainly English
and Arabic)
and now I am searching for things in my own language, but those pages
contain useful information too.
BBC
Learning Spanish: is free, is fun, they have
the experience and the qualifications, I
can recomend it.
For
beginners, intermediate students... grammar, dialogs... it is not one
of
those places where they will tell you that you "will learn chinese in
two months" or "Spanish for travellers" with a couple of phrases like
"i want sangria" or "beso sus pies" which has not been used for
centuries and may have you arrested for sexual harassment...
Learning even just a bit a of a foreing language
requires time, effort and patience. Anyway you can alway learn only
things like "vino" "cerveza" cafe" "¿cuanto cuesta? etc. Something is
better that nothing.
